In charge of catering operations, Kelly’s anticipation of guest needs and unobtrusive yet attentive service philosophy brings a new standard of casual elegance to a dining room whether it be in the middle of a vineyard or an intimate gathering at local wine cave. Her passion for great food experiences include a resume of enviable positions alongside some of the country’s most notable restaurateurs including Alice Waters (Chez Panisse), Robert McGrath (1988 Food & Wine Top Chef) and Gene Tartaglia (MECCA). Prior to Smoke she served as General Manager for Archetype and Napa Valley’s BarBersQ.
Ryan has a diverse background of cuisines and training including receiving a Culinary Scholarship from Orange Coast College and studying at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. Some highlights of his career include: an externship at the The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans, part of the opening team at Cutt Beverly Hills, Montage Beverly Hills and Bouchon, Beverly Hills. He began his Napa Valley career at as a Sous Chef at Bottega Ristorante where he learned from Chef Michael Chiarello the art of telling a story through food. What has always stood out in Ryan is he cooks from the heart and understands flavors.
